Russian Far East Gas Pipeline Connection Project Starts

Gazprom announced on the 21st local time that the company has started connecting the "Siberian Power" and "Sakhalin Khabarovsk Vladivostok" natural gas pipelines.

Gazprom stated that this is the first phase of the construction project for the eastern natural gas supply system trunk line. The first project to be launched in 2024 is the pipeline construction of the "Belgorsk Khabarovsk" section, which is over 800 kilometers long.

The Eastern Gas Supply System Mainline Plan aims to comprehensively develop the natural gas transportation capacity in the eastern region of Russia and further connect it with the natural gas infrastructure in the western region of Russia, ensuring a more reliable and diversified natural gas supply for domestic consumers in Russia.
